They named us forgotten. We named ourselves a movement. This is the story of how "they don't care about us" became the most powerful words we ever heard.
USiS stands for "the ones they don't care about." It comes from Michael Jackson's anthem against prejudice and neglect — a song that gave voice to millions who were told their suffering didn't matter.
"The song is about the pain of prejudice and hate, and is a way to draw attention to social and political problems." Michael Jackson, on "They Don't Care About Us"
But we heard something different in those words. Not defeat — a rallying cry. If they don't care about us, then we'll care about each other. If the system wasn't built for us, we'll build our own. If nobody's coming to save us — we are the rescue.
USiS was born in Jacksonville, Florida — a city with deep roots, deep faith, and neighbors who already knew how to show up for one another. We just gave it a name. And a plan.
Channel community abundance into housing, food, and freedom from financial bondage.
The earth already provides everything we need to live free. The problem was never scarcity — it was organization. USiS exists to redirect the overflow that already lives in our communities toward the people who need it most. Not as charity. As neighbors taking care of neighbors. "Love your neighbor" isn't a bumper sticker here — it's the operating currency.
Three steps. No red tape. Just neighbors.
Sign up and stand with your community. When you join USiS, you're saying "I see you, and I'm here." That's where everything starts.
Housing, food, volunteer hours, donations — whatever you have to give. No amount is too small. A spare room. A hot meal. An hour of your time. It all compounds.
Your pledges go directly to people in your community who need them. No middlemen. No bureaucracy. Just the ancient practice of people looking out for each other.
We're not waiting for permission. We're researching better ways to use what the earth provides. Building what we need to live free. Starting in Jacksonville — spreading everywhere love reaches.
A world where no one sleeps outside because neighbors refused to act. Where abundance is shared and multiplied, not hoarded. Where "they don't care about us" becomes the history we outgrew.
Community-powered housing for those who need it most.
Shared gardens, kitchens, and distribution networks so no one goes hungry.
Researching and implementing ways to break the cycle of living just to pay bills.
Not ready to pledge yet? That's okay. Leave your name and email — be the first to know when the movement reaches your city.
